Charles Oliveira better known as “Do Bronx” from Brazil, started training at the age of nine. He currently holds the black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and martial arts.

After last night’s UFC 262 main event against Michael Chandler he has now become the UFC lightweight champion of the world.

Oliveira has worked hard to get to the top, taking by storm the UFC world as no one saw him coming.

Currently holding 31 wins total, 19 being with submission, three by decision and nine by knockout in a row with last night’s win.

The champion feels that he has worked his way to the perfect spot in this division and this is where he belongs even though he wouldn’t mind going back to the featherweight division.

“Me and my (father) have talked a lot about this, and I still feel like a featherweight,” Oliveira told reporters, including MMA Junkie, through an interpreter. “But I kind of fit in this division. If Dana White gave me an opportunity to go back down to the featherweight division and win, I’d take it.”

Personally, Oliveira has shown and proved himself to the top, where he can take down any other lightweight opponent they give him.

He knows strategy and when and how to make a move. It is not determine who he will fight next whether it is Dustin Poirer or Conor McGregor but who ever they decide he will fight next, there’s no question about him winning he will.

Oliveira is a humble man from humble upbringings as he used to sell “cheese salads” to make ends meet with his mom. He worked as a child and through his work he was able to meet so many different people.

The champion coming from a humble and not wealthy family, he was not able to pay the fees to train in a jiu-jitsu academy.

However, because of an uncle and his influence he was able to train free of charge and started his career to being the greatest he could be.

As he grows higher in fame with his talent and skills he does not forget from where he comes from.

One of Oliveira’s goals in life as a champ is to help all the kids who need guidance or help from the life of crime and downfalls that Guaruja, Brazil has which is where he grew up himself.

He has made and put up a project to help kids avoid this life and find themselves a better opportunity in life.

Oliveira is now giving back to the same community that saw him grow up and helped him free of charge when he didn’t have much.

Now this is just the beginning of his career, as he has become the new lightweight champion of the world there is so much more that Oliveira will bring to the table.

There is lot’s of Charles “Do Bronx” yet to come, stay on the lookout for him as he is at the top of his career.
